Relationships, stability, is it the same now ?

So I’ll get straight to it, from my observations (people watching because my life is extremely bland at times) people are actually searching for stability and masking it as a relationship, but I get it, I’m also a fallen soldier of toxic femininity and crave the masculine hegemonic heroine to come save me from the depths of bills and declining mental health. In this search for stability we tend to settle for people who only give us a percent of what we want. For example a person can give you everything you need materialistically but completely deny you emotionally leaving you drained and in constant seek of partnership, but it could also be the other way around where they will tend to your every emotional need but not be able to support you economically in any way shape or form, you might as well be a parent at that point, will we ever find our match? Will we ever find that economic and emotional stability within someone? NO, sorry for the caps I wanted to be dramatic, but no. We are simply humans, we will never be able to complete another person if we are going into a relationship with the subconscious expectations of stability.

With inflation and mental health decline, and still getting used to a post quarantine world, let’s face it we’re babies, I mean that in which we are learning how to live all over again, accepting the truths of our environment and trying to prevail despite its flaws. An example of this is we can’t afford rent as a single tenant at least in NYC, Florida, and , Cali. We need a roommate to be able to pay for rent, and wouldn’t it be great if we happen to have a romantic relationship with said roommate pre moving in?, and now let’s talk about all those matching pjs and matching Halloween costumes, scratch that the whole year from October to February is strictly for couples!! Round of applause for capitalism. Sorry I went off track , can’t you see I’m bitter? Nonetheless modern world struggles have made us search for stability , and to a lot of people stability is a relationship. Of course that comes with so many downfalls but that’s an essay for another day.
